Short summary
Conventional methods for the removal of metal ions from water are expensive and inadequate. Hence, other cheaper and easier to handle methods are required. Consequently, the use of agricultural waste materials of no economic value is currently gaining wide acceptance. In this study, Delonix regia pods and leaves were ground, examined and used to remove nickel (II) and copper (II) ions from aqueous solutions. The results show that this agro-waste effectively removes these metals from solution.
